Apple Banana Blueberry Smoothie

Equipment

  • 1 colander for rinsing the blueberries
  • 1 liquid measuring cup  for measuring the apple juice
  • 1 Measuring cup for the yogurt
  • 1 blender just a basic kitchen blender, no fancy brand needed

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups frozen blueberries
  • 1 frozen banana broken into chunks, peel it before you freeze it
  • ¼ cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt you can also use vanilla or berry flavored yogurt if you are not concerned about the sugar
  • 1 cup sugar-free spiced apple cider mix regular apple juice is fine as well, if you are not concerned about the sugar

Instructions
 

  • Measure out the blueberries, place in the colander, and rinse.
  • Mix 1 envelope of sugar-free spiced cider mix with 1 cup of water.
  • Place the frozen berries, the banana (broken into chunks), the yogurt, and the apple cider in a blender.
  • Pulse and blend the ingredients. I sometimes have to take the lid off and push the ingredients around a bit with a long-handled spoon for adequate blending.
