Old Fashioned Watergate Salad (Easy Pistachio Pineapple Fluff)
Easy old fashioned Watergate salad recipe with pistachio pudding, pineapple, marshmallows and whipped topping. Fluffy, no-bake, perfect for potlucks.
Equipment
- 1 Medium-sized mixing bowl
- 1 can opener
- 1 Mixing spoon
- 1 Spatula
- 1 Mini chopper or food processor optional
Ingredients
- 1 20-ounce can Crushed pineapple or pineapple chunks I prefer the pineapple chunks for ease of draining the juice.
- 1 3.5-ounce box Instant pistachio pudding mix
- 1 8-ounce container whipped topping
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- ½ cup chopped nuts optional
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the dry pudding mix and 4 tablespoons of the reserved pineapple juice. Stir well to make a soft paste.
- Add the drained pineapple, whipped topping, marshmallows, and nuts (if using).
- Mix until fluffy.
- Cover and chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
