Equipment

  • 1 colander for rinsing the blueberries
  • 1 strawberry huller optional, but it’s inexpensive and easy to use
  • 1 liquid measuring cup  for the apple juice
  • 1 blender

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries rinsed, hulled, and halved
  • 2 cups frozen blueberries
  • 1 frozen banana peel it before you freeze it
  • ¼ cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup sugar-free spiced apple cider mix

Instructions
 

  • Rinse, hull, and halve the strawberries.
  • Measure out the blueberries, place in the colander, and rinse.
  • Mix 1 envelope of sugar-free spiced cider mix with 1 cup of water.
  • Place the berries, the banana (broken into chunks), the yogurt, and the apple cider in a blender.
  • Pulse and blend the ingredients. I sometimes have to take the lid off and push the ingredients around a bit with a long-handled spoon for adequate blending.
  • Pour into cups and serve immediately. Makes 4 cups. Enjoy!
