Equipment for the Sugar Free Apple Cider Drink

The main item I like to use for any hot drink is my electric teakettle.

You can also use the microwave to heat the water.
You’ll need a mug and spoon.
If you are making the optional whipped cream from scratch, you’ll need a mixing bowl and a small hand mixer, immersion blender, or wire whisk.

Ingredients for the Sugar Free Apple Cider Drink

The ingredients for this drink are simple. You can add extra embellishments if you wish.
1 packet of Alpine Sugar Free Spiced Cider mix

1 cup of hot water
1 tablespoon of sugar free caramel syrup

1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract, no sugar added (optional)

Sprinkle of cinnamon (optional)
Cinnamon stick for decoration (optional)

Directions for the Sugar Free Apple Cider Drink

If you are making homemade whipped cream, place your mixing bowl and whisk or beaters into the freezer (optional). Let chill for at least 15 minutes.
Bring water to boil.
While the water is coming to a boil, make the whipped cream by adding 1/4 of a cup of heavy whipping cream to the chilled bowl along with the vanilla, if using. Whip until you get some frothy peaks. Set aside.
Pour one packet of sugar-free apple cider mix into a mug. Add a cup of hot water. Mix until the cider mix is dissolved. Add 1 tablespoon of sugar-free caramel syrup.
Top with a sprinkle of cinnamon (optional) and the homemade whipped cream, if desired. Garnish with a cinnamon stick (optional).
